Smashing Pans offer cookery courses in London. Cooking styles range from fish to Italian and Thai to desserts with cooking lessons available as gifts and experiences.
After choosing quality meat or poultry from a traditional butchers you will learn to prepare and cook various cuts.
This course starts at Keith's favourite butchers, Drings of Greenwich. Find out what happens behind the scenes of a modern day traditional butchers. One of Drings experienced butchers will demonstrate the skills of jointing and de-boning meat or poultry. Depending on the season this could include Free Range Chicken, Welsh Lamb, Suffolk Free Range Pork, Rare Breed Beef or superb game and Rabbit.
Once the class has regrouped at Smashing Pans it's time to get on with marinating, grilling and roasting. Keith will draw on his knowledge to teach the correct method of meat cookery to obtain the best flavour and temperature.
Learn how to cook the perfect steak with fantastic chips and buttery Béarnaise Sauce. Roast the best cut of lamb the rack with crispy fat but still pink and juicy in the middle.
Keith will show how to pan fry the best chicken breast and make a perfect sauce out of just the the bits and pieces in the pan. Then the Daddy - The Sunday Roast. Learn to make fantastic yorkshire puds, gravy, and veggies that will taste so different.
Then its time to gather round the table a raise a glass or two, and tuck in to your labours. Whatever food is left you get to take home.
